CLQ 3261 C16/RL:Jerusalem: Spiritual Significance

Jerusalem is of great spiritual value to practitioners of the Abrahamic religions. This course studies the significance of Jerusalem to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It will look at the beliefs, traditions, and the sites which have special significance to these religions: such as, the Temple Mount, the Church of Resurrection, the Dome of the Rock, and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Corequisite: CLQ 3260.
