CLQ 3361 C26/CS: Climate & The Shock Doctrine

This colloquium course will examine the disruptive impact of climate change upon vulnerable emerging economies within the framework of Christian Parenti's 'catastrophic convergence' and Naomi Klein's 'Shock Doctrine'. These theories provide the framework in which climate and the global political agenda of corporations and privatization will be analyzed and critiqued.
