OMED 8463 Pediatric Neurology Elective Clerkship
This four-week elective clerkship is designed to provide experiential learning in the field of pediatric neurology. To accomplish this, students will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team caring for infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of neurologic concerns. Through broad exposure to developmental, metabolic, genetic, seizure, headache, movement, and neuromuscular disorders, students will become familiar with comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments and available resources for children with disabilities. The student will also acquire experience in communicating with parents of children with neurologic conditions and gain an understanding of the medical, psychosocial, and educational impact of these conditions.
