OMED 8458 Genetics Elective Clerkship
This four-week elective clerkship is designed to provide experiential learning in the field of pediatric genetics. To accomplish this, students will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team caring for infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of genetic concerns. Through broad exposure to common genetic syndromes, students will become familiar with comprehensive genetic assessments. The student will also acquire experience in communicating with parents of children with genetic conditions and gain an understanding of the medical, psychosocial, and educational impact of these conditions.
