OCC 20400 Principles of Occupational Therapy: Adult Rehabilitation Practice

Focus on the occupational therapy process and interventions commonly used in the rehabilitation of adults with a variety of conditions.  Students are required to synthesize information learned in previous courses and to begin to utilize clinical reasoning to design and implement client centered OT interventions.  Safety procedures, documentation of OT services and reimbursement for services are also addressed.  This course includes a minimum of a 2 visit Level 1 Fieldwork experience when students integrate and apply course concepts.

Prerequisite

OCC 10200, OCC 10300, and OCC 10500 with a grade of C+ or higher

Corequisite

OCC 10700 (if a student has completed prior to OCC 20400 they must achieve a grade of C+ or higher)
