OCC 10700 OT Therapeutic Process and Reasoning

Students will expand their understanding of the practice of occupational therapy by examining the therapeutic process and its components. Topics such as therapeutic use of self, group intervention, occupation-based intervention and the use of research findings will be covered. A variety of learning activities will be used to illustrate foundational concepts and to practice the use of essential skills. The development of beginning professional reasoning is emphasized and promoted during the course through the use of clinical case studies, simulations and self-reflection.

BIO 11000, PSY 10110 with a grade of C or higher and OCC 10500 with a grade of C+ or higher
