OCC 10100 Foundations of Occupational Therapy

This is an introductory course designed to give students foundational knowledge of the profession of occupational therapy. Topics include an overview of practice settings, history and philosophy of the profession, OT interventions across the lifespan, ethics and standards of practice, the domain of practice and the role of the OTA in emerging practice areas. A community-based learning experience is included in the course.
