EDUC5010 STEM Education and Social Justice

This course will focus on strategies used for advancing pedagogical content knowledge in STEM education. Through the integration of related science, technology, engineering, and mathematics discipline and analysis of scholarly readings, students will apply STEM principles to design interdisciplinary STEM curriculum and instruction. The course will also explore classroom practices based on STEM pedagogy, grounded in the historical and contemporary inequalities that impact the participation of underrepresented individuals in STEM education.
