FYS 1117 THEATER & SUSTAINABILITY

The ephemerality of theater makes it special, but it can also pose environmental hazards. What happens to the material often used for theatrical production: lumber to build sets, purchased goods for props, fast-fashion for inexpensive costumes, and other elements that hold the potential for “one and done” usage? This course provides a foundation for developing a strong “green theater” practice.
