SLP 529 Aural (Re)habilitation
Students examine aural (re)habilitation across the lifespan, focusing on how hearing loss affects communication, participation, and psychosocial wellbeing. The course emphasizes assessment, counseling, auditory training, and assistive technology within culturally responsive, anti-ableist frameworks. Case-based learning builds skills to support d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals optimize communication access and quality of life. Prerequisite: Admission to the program.
