EDUC 3377 Teaching Children in the Intermediate Grades

In Teaching Children in the Intermediate Grades, teacher candidates learn to design and deliver lesson plans for children in grades 3rd – 6th. The course facilitates students’ development as reflective practitioners; provides opportunities for students to integrate theory and practice; and integrates strategies for high quality teaching and learning. This professional development course focuses on instructional design and delivery utilizing differentiation, lesson planning for large group, small group, and individual students. Teacher candidates will learn how to accommodate and modify instruction for diverse learners. Teacher candidates will observe and teach in 3rd-6th grade classrooms.
