EDUC 3343 Teaching Students with Learning Differences

Teaching Students with Learning Differences examines the academic, social, and behavioral needs of K-12 students with learning disabilities. The course focuses on the preparation of general education teachers to meet the needs of students in inclusive classrooms. Students will develop their understanding of learning differences and their proficiency in providing individualized and differentiated instruction. The course will address characteristics; learning theories; processing disorders in oral language, reading, writing, and mathematics; academic supports, and collaboration with families and other professionals.
