The program is approximately 23 weeks with course work designed to challenge students in competencies required for basic peace officer licensing. Upon successful completion of the academy, the student may be eligible to take the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Basic Peace Officer Licensing Exam.

Applying to the Academy

A student should apply and meet the minimum requirements for Peace Officer as per Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) guidelines.
