RELI 30583 Religion, Money, and Value(s)

The world's religions espouse ethical values that inform their understanding of issues such as the value of human life, labor, and products. These religions have also had complicated and uneasy relationships with money and commerce, especially the ethics of trading and the accumulation of wealth. This course will explore the issues of money, wealth, and value through the lens of five religious traditions: Christianity,Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Jainism.
