RELI 30793 Indian Mystical Traditions
Prerequisites: RELI 10023, or permission of the instructor. This course examines the history, sacred texts, personalities, and practices of Hindu and Buddhist mysticisms in South Asia. It also investigates the lives of Buddhist and Hindu women mystical practitioners in text and practice and explores the extents to which Indian mystical systems enable women to empower themselves in Indic society.
