Criminal Justice and Law Major Requirements

A student majoring in Criminal Justice and Law must successfully complete (with a grade of C or better) a minimum of thirteen courses (fourteen if the student is pursuing Honors or Distinction) including:

One course on Ethics*

 

Five electives relating to Legal Studies or Criminal Law*

 

Senior Evaluation (or two-semester Perspectives Seminar for Honors or Distinction)

For the five electives relating to Legal Studies or Criminal Law, one of the electives should be from each of the following areas: 

  • Sociology and Anthropology
  •  Biology, Chemistry, or Psychology
  •  Philosophy
