Introduction & Overview 

In the 21st century, museums are the places where physical objects, technology, abstract ideas and people intersect. The world of museums includes traditional art and natural history museums, as well as historic sites, historical societies, heritage and cultural centers, science and technology centers, nature preserves, environmental facilities and museum experiences designed specifically for children.
