EMT 241 Cardiovascular Emergencies
(Contact Hours: 6) Diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease related to heart attack and stroke is the focus of the course. Students learn rhythm interpretation and diagnostic 12-lead EKG's. Treatment regimens which focus on pharmacology and electrical therapy are practiced in mock arrest and mega-code formats. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 201, EMT 211, and EMT 215 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: EMT 231, EMT 235, and EMT 245.
