EMT 251 Prehospital Emergency Med II

(Contact Hours: 5) This course is the final course needed to obtain certification as a Paramedic. Starting with obstetrics and gynecology we follow developmental changes from neonatal and pediatric stages of life through geriatrics. Students participate in scenarios involving obstetrical emergencies including childbirth. The program concludes with a comprehensive review and cumulative final exam of the entire Paramedic program, including the practical skills. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 231, EMT 235, EMT 241, and EMT 245 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: EMT 221, EMT 225, and EMT 255.
