CSD 313 Phonetic Science
Students learn the science and application of phonetics, focusing on articulatory phonetics and American English speech sounds. The course covers phonetic analysis, classification of sounds, and transcription using the International Phonetic Alphabet. Emphasis is placed on clinical relevance for assessing and treating speech sound disorders.Pre-requisites:
LS-160 and 12 semester hours of credit at the 200-level or higher.
