BUSN 415 Managing and Developing Teams

Leading and managing teams is an important skill for people and managers working in collaborative environments.  This is especially true in software development and engineering organizations that require a high degree of cooperation.  This course is designed to introduce students to team concepts including matrixed teams, effective communication for teams, characteristics of effective teams, identifying dysfunctional teams and team members, designing jobs that optimize individual and team members, incentives and compensation for teams. 

Prerequisite

10 credits 100/200-level English, 15 credits 100/200-level Math, 10 credits 100/200 level Business, 15 credits of 100/200-level Accounting or ECON
