Program Description:
The program will provide students with a general understanding of mathematics and computer science courses as well as a foundation in other general liberal arts courses required for transfer into a baccalaureate program. Student will engage in the exploration of mathematics and computer science and will build and reinforce confidence in their abilities to be successful in these disciplines.
Program Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Understand fundamental principles of mathematics and/or computer science
- Employ analytical methods to solve problems
- Acquire a solid foundation in preparation for higher level mathematics and/or computer science courses
- Develop the critical knowledge to prove ideas, formulate and analyze problems, and find solutions
- Apply mathematical and computational techniques to solve real world problems
