BINT 3368 Leading for Impact and Innovation

This leadership course provides an introduction to what it means to be a good leader. Effective leaders come from a variety of academic, work, and social backgrounds. They apply their abilities toward solving problems that range from the simple to complex. Students will learn about self-assessment, emotional intelligence, teambuilding, and conflict management, as well as gain personal development through passion and empathy. The class focuses on the nature of leadership, including leadership traits, future visioning, overcoming obstacles, and addressing ethical issues. Context for the course topics centers on development of innovative solutions in community, political, social, and global settings.
