BINT 3365 Social Change in Action

This course introduces students to the emerging field of social entrepreneurship and innovation. Students will develop individual and collective capacities to innovate and implement meaningful, sustainable, and scalable methods that address societal problems confronted by the business sector. The course provides an overview of the field by framing social/environmental problems, introducing innovative methods, and reviewing case studies of successful social innovation by business enterprises. Students will work with local partners and enterprises to apply ideas, skills, and strategies required for effective social change in the 21st Century through the development of an original Blueprint for Social Change.
