Course Description

PROGRESSIONAL NURSING CONCEPTS III (1-0-1) 51.3801 Application of professional nursing concepts and exemplars within the professional nursing roles. Utilizes concepts of clinical judgement, ethical-legal, evidenced-based practice, patient-centered care, professionalism, safety, teamwork and collaboration. Introduces the concepts of intro role development of the professional nurse. This course lends itself to a concept-based approach. Prerequisites: BIOL 2420, SPCH 1311 or SPCH 1315 or SPCH 1321, RNSG 1126, RNSG 1533 and RNSG 2362. Corequisite/Concurrent: Phil 2306, RNGS 1538 and RNSG 2363. Prerequisites (Transition Students): SPCH 1311 or SPCH 1315 or SPCH 1321, RNSG 1118 RNSG 1128 and RNSG 1324. Corequistes/Concurrent (Transition Students): BIOL 2420, PHIL 2306 RNSG 1262 and RNSG 1538. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.
