Medical Coding Specialist Certificate MC41

The Medical Coding program provides students with an educational opportunity that will enable them to obtain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to succeed in the medical coding field upon program completion. Students will gain a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, document processing, and an extensive understanding of inpatient and outpatient coding procedures. These coding skills are in great demand in hospitals, physician offices and clinics.

Students will be eligible to sit for an initial AHIMA Certification after graduation. After 2 years of experience, student is eligible to sit for AHIMA Registry Exam.
