IDS105 Art and Poetry Near and Far: From New England to East Asia

This course will examine the form and content of selected art works and poetry from East Asian and American cultures with a focus on art collections in area museums and on related poetry. Emphasis will be on developing an understanding of the works and their historical and cultural context as well as how each genre depicts its subject. Fulfills humanities, liberal arts, and open electives.
