Global and International Studies Program

Introduction & Overview

Global and International Studies is an interdisciplinary major concerned with the interconnectedness of nations and cultures in the contemporary world. Globalization today has transformed the world and redefined relationships that impact nations, communities, and individuals, while presenting complex challenges that include immigration, climate change, refugee crises, internecine conflicts, and international diplomacy. The Global and International Studies program at Manhattanville combines the study of economics, political science, and history with socio-cultural and ethnic studies to prepare students to investigate these problems and design creative solutions in both the public and private spheres.
