The Master of Science in Accounting Program

The Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program prepares students to pass the certified public accountant (CPA) exam and it offers graduates an opportunity for early success in a competitive field.

Students can pursue the MSA under one of two options:

•     A 3 + 1 accelerated plan

•     A 4 + 1 traditional plan

The Master of Science in Accounting 3+1 Option

This plan permits students to receive both the B.S. and M.S. degrees in four years.  Students admitted to this program will be allowed to take all 30 hours of graduate coursework before receiving their undergraduate degrees. Students in the 3+1 program must begin taking accounting classes during the first year at Elon, so it is important for these students to meet with an accounting advisor either before their enrollment at Elon or shortly thereafter. The program runs from July to the following May.

The Master of Science in Accounting 4+1 Option

In this plan, students complete all graduate coursework in the academic year following the receipt of their undergraduate degree.  The program runs from July to the following May.
