ASPP 5301 Applying Mindfulness in Sport and Performance Psychology
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to mindfulness as a practice and theoretical framework from which they can assist athletes and other performers. Drawing from mindfulness literature and research, students will learn experientially by engaging in their own mindfulness practice while gathering evidence supporting a mindfulness approach. Students will have the opportunity to create their own meditation scripts, practice application, and learn the differences between a mindfulness approach and CBT frameworks.
