Requirements

The program requires a minimum of 26 hours, on a 120-hour degree, consisting of:

26 hours in physics, including:

PHYS 10901	First-Year Physics and Astronomy Seminar	1
PHYS 20475	Physics I for Majors: Mechanics	5
PHYS 20485	Physics II for Majors	5
PHYS 30493	Physics III Modern Physics	3

PHYS 10154 and PHYS 10164 or PHYS 20474 and PHYS 20484 may be taken in place of PHYS 20475 and PHYS 20485 with permission.

Associated Requirements

12 hours of mathematics are required, including:

MATH 10524	Calculus I	4
MATH 20524	Calculus II	4
MATH 30224	Linear Algebra	4

No minor from the Physics & Astronomy Department may be combined with the PHYS-BA.
