Physics and astronomy are available as a major or minor on both the BA and BS degrees.
Honors College
Physics and astronomy majors who plan to pursue Departmental Honors must be enrolled in the Honors College. Students should take PHYS 30003 their junior year and PHYS 40003 their senior year.
Pass/No-Credit Option

Dual Credit
Students may not earn credit for PHYS 20475/20485 and PHYS 20474/20484 and/or PHYS 10154/10164. Only one of these pairings will count as credit towards the degree.
Physics & Astronomy Honor Societies
The department sponsors Sigma Pi Sigma, the national honor society in physics.
