Nutritional Sciences

Nutritional sciences is available as a major on the BS degree and a minor on both the BS and BA degrees. The four degree options:

  • Combined BS/MS in Dietetics
  • Didactic Program in Dietetics
  • Nutrition
  • Food Management

All BS degrees in nutritional sciences follow the TCU Core Curriculum requirements for the College of Science & Engineering.

Honors College

Nutritional sciences majors who plan to pursue Departmental Honors must be members of the Honors College and should enroll in NTDT 30001 during their junior year and NTDT 40001 their senior year.

Nutritional Sciences Affiliations

Students who demonstrate high scholarship are eligible for membership in the Beta Zeta chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, national honor society. The department also sponsors a chapter of the Texas Student Dietetic Association. All NTDT majors are encouraged to join the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the state and local chapters. The TCU Food Recovery Network (FRN) is a student organization housed in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. FRN membership is open to any student on campus. NTDT majors are encouraged to join.
