PHYS 20485 Physics II for Majors
Prerequisites: PHYS 20475, MATH 20524 which may be taken concurrently, or permission of instructor. Four hours of lectures and one 2-hour laboratory per week selected to reinforce the concepts discussed in lecture. The second of a three-semester sequence for students majoring in physics, including electric charge, current and field; magnetism, time varying electromagnetic fields; physical and geometric optics. Credit will not be granted for this course and any of the following: PHYS 10161, 10163, 10164, 20481, 20483, 20484.
