Senior Integrative Project

The Integrative Project is typically completed in the student's senior year. Students may choose to fulfill the Integrative Project requirement with an internship, an Individual Study, or an Honors Thesis. Students must make a formal proposal to the director of the Architectural Studies program in the semester that precedes the start of the Integrative Project.  The proposal must be approved before the student begins the Integrative Project.

Internship Option: The internship may be non-funded, or funded either through the Office of Career and Professional Development or another source. Students choosing to complete a non-funded internship must enroll in ARC 495 or ARC 496 to receive course credit. Students choosing to complete a funded internship may not also receive course credit toward the major for the experience. A student fulfilling the Integrative Project requirement with a funded internship must take an additional elective course, bringing the total of electives required for the major to eight.

Individual Study Option: Students choosing to complete an Individual Study project must enroll in ARC 491 or ARC 492, or in exceptional circumstances ARC 490.

Honors Thesis Option: Students choosing to complete a two-semester Honors Thesis must enroll in ARC 497 - ARC 498
