NURS 3311 Health Communication
This course focuses on effective communication with patients, families, groups, and health care professionals. Principles of interpersonal communication and public speaking in health care settings are utilized. The goals of the course are to cultivate the students' imagination and creativity through mastery of the technical skills needed to become effective communicators within healthcare contexts. Students will become familiar with fundamental communication processes that are involved in managing physical and mental health.
Prerequisite
Successful completion of previous level BSN courses for corresponding track is required.
