OMED 8259 Gynecologic Surgery Elective Clerkship
This two-week experience is designed to provide experiential learning in Gynecology. The rotation, under the direct supervision of a credentialed Gynecologist, will involve participation in the care of patients on inpatient hospital services, surgical setting, and ambulatory clinic. Students participate in the evaluation and treatment of patients with benign gynecological needs.
Students will achieve a better understanding of routine well-woman visits, as well as counseling through education of chronic and acute concerns. They are encouraged to integrate and apply osteopathic principles and practices within the management of a patient with gynecologic concerns.
