ENVS 120 Conservation Biology

One of our biggest challenges as a society is to protect our planet and its biodiversity while we fulfill the demands of a growing human population. In this course, students learn about the importance of biodiversity, the threats it currently faces, and examples on how conservation biologists have tackled these challenges using methods that range from community-led conservation to global policy. Through development of a conservation grant project, students learn to identify conservation issues and propose tangible solutions based on the course materials.
