CJ 203 Criminal Procedure
This course focuses on constitutional limitations on criminal procedure during the early phases of criminal proceedings, including investigation, search, arrest, and interrogation. An examination of the Fourth Amendment's limitation on arrests, searches and seizures, and the Fifth Amendment's right against self-incrimination, with additional coverage of protections derived from the Sixth Amendment right to counsel, and protections under the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments that apply to identification procedures.
