EDL 650 Educational Law & Finance

This course provides an overview through case studies on the unique relationship between education and the federal and state Constitutions. The course focuses on the role societal and regional beliefs and feelings play in generating laws and policies governing education in the United States and Connecticut. Candidates will demonstrate the financial and budgetary practices and procedures in place in their school district and how fiscal resources are allocated at the building level. This course aims to provide prudent and practical guidelines to future administrators concerning budgetary practices and the laws governing public schools.
