Program Description:
The goal of the Liberal Arts courses is to develop in the student general intellectual capacities, judgement and understanding of human relationships in the social, cultural, and natural environment for the past, present and future. Courses focus on analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, writing, and communication.
Program Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Identify credible sources of information, analyze and produce evidence-based assignments
- Demonstrate an understanding of key concepts and fundamental principles in a least one social science discipline
- Analyze the historical content of the development of the disciplines studied and the growth of individuality
- Examine the dynamics of power and privilege in society
- Evaluate the key components, assumptions, theories and research from a social or behavioral science perspective
