Program Description:
The degree provides students with a broad-based knowledge of course work needed for a career in the hospitality and tourism industry. Students will take several required courses in hospitality but will then have the option to focus their education on either hospitality or travel and tourism.
Program Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the hands-on skills required in the culinary industry
- Develop and demonstrate the ability to plan and implement numerous culinary functions
- Develop research skills used in the culinary arts industry
- Develop an understanding of the equipment used in the field of culinary arts
- Develop reasoning and problem solving skills
