CRJ 130 Introduction to Security
A complete revolution in the security industry has occurred in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Government involvement in the private security industry as evidenced in the Airport Security Officer Employment Standards Act of 2002 indicates major changes in the United States government's involvement in the security industry. Today's security industry is also responding to the threat of world terrorism, protection of information and other supports for the business community. The relationship between government and private security with traditional public policing will be explored as well as new technology developments.
