Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Identify and demonstrate how engaging students in scientific inquiry facilitates students learning and development of scientific knowledge.
• Develop effective online and in-person inquiry-based lesson plans for teaching science to diverse learners.
• Develop a unit plan engaging students in science learning by setting appropriate goals consistent with the knowledge of how students learn science.
• Apply science concepts to students' personal lives, needs, and interests through inquiry, instruction, and experience.
• Identify and plan fair and equitable science assessment strategies that evaluate student progress toward learning objectives.
