PAD 4223 Public Budgeting and Finance

This course examines the theory and practice of various approaches to budgeting, including line-item, performance and PPBS budgeting. Special emphasis is placed on the role of the budget in shaping the program, performance and policy of the public organizations. In addition, the analytical skills and administrative techniques employed by public budget analysis will be examined, focusing on the process of generating and using information.
