In addition to meeting the University Learning Outcomes, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science completion program in Medical Laboratory Science at NWHSU will be proficient in the following areas:

- Effectively present laboratory healthcare concepts, both written and oral, appropriate to the audience.

- Operate lab equipmentwhile evaluating, correlating and ensuring accuracy and validity of laboratory information.
- Correlate test results with specific diseases and disorders.
- Manage data to enable effective, timely, accurate and cost-effective reporting.
- Analyze, report and interpret laboratory statistics to ensure high quality lab results, identify sources of possible system error, implement and monitor continuous laboratory assessment programs.

- Develop and establish procedures to collect and process biological specimens according to professional standards.
- Recognize and follow established laboratory safety policies according to professional standards.
