PNR114 Pharmacology for Practical Nursing
This course introduces the student to the basic concepts and principles of pharmacology and the nurse's role in drug therapy. Topics examined include pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacotheraputics. Ethical tenets and issues along with legal regulations and standards governing drug manufacuring, distribution and use are also discussed. Emphasis is placed on drug calculations in conjunction with the nurse's role in the delivery and maintenance of safe and efficient drug administration.
