PNR105 Maternal Child Health
This course focuses on the role of the student practical nurse by providing theoretical knowledge and practical learning experiences in the care of the expectant family, the neonate, and developing child through adolescence. The course examines pregnancy, labor & delivery, the postpartal period, and the neonate from a normal developmental point of view. Common problems in women's health, pregnancy and infant care are explored, as well as care of the pediatric client and his/her family in health and illness. (64 hrs lecture and 136 hrs clinical experience)
