OTA207 Occupational Therapy for Pediatric Populations
This course focuses on normal and atypical development from birth to young adulthood. The course is designed to promote discussion and investigation of population needs and current legislation that drives and guides practice within the most common pediatric settings: Early Intervention and Schools, which service children from ages birth to twenty-one. Students also study common pediatric diagnoses, performance assessment tools, evidence-based techniques and documentation for Early Intervention and School-based programs. Classroom knowledge and skills are reinforced with fieldwork experience in pediatric settings. (45 hours of lecture and 30 hours of fieldwork)
