EDU 5272 The Holocaust in the English & Social Studies Classroom
Examine pedagogical approaches to the Holocaust for educators at the middle and high school levels. Gain a historical overview and introduction to the vocabulary of the Holocaust, and discuss various uses of survivor testimony, sample assessments, and the literary responses to the Holocaust. Address the relevance of the Holocaust for students in the twenty-first century and evaluate the suitability of various Holocaust texts for classroom use.
